Belgian teenage artist in LA for performance

Grand Opening on July 31, 2015

Catherine Bernard, a 17 year old Belgian artist came to Los Angeles to create a beautiful giant mural at the French-American school Ecole Claire Fontaine, 352 Westminster Avenue in Venice Los Angeles USA . The mural is about French-speaking countries and the idea of a common French language. The grand opening is on July 31st! The young artist intends to create 1 mural at French-speaking schools every year, and on every continent.

ICT Mission, Silicon Valley/San Francisco, October 27-31, 2014

October 27 to October 31, 2014 will mark the timeframe of the second Belgian ICT Mission to take place in the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley. Participating Brussels-based companies can expect a diverse and extensive program. Highlights will include corporate visits of Silicon Valley icons such as Google and Facebook as well as up and coming Tech startups like Twindom. Companies will also have the opportunity to visit some of the very successful Bay Area incubators. To add to the corporate meetings, customized B-2-B meetings will be organized based on the participating companies' requests and profiles. In order to provide further inspiration and insight into the Bay Area startup spirit, a "Belgian Entrepreneurs Night" networking event will take place allowing participants to get in touch with successful Belgian entrepreneurs in the Bay area (e.g. Radionomy, Odoo, AdsWizz, Checkster, Voxbone). A Tech Pitch Night will further allow companies to position themselves and attract potential investors/partners, an event that will be preceded by individual coaching sessions in order to guarantee its success. In addition, companies have the opportunity to take part in the "TechMatch Europe-Silicon Valley" program which will match Europe's top tech startups with the direct needs of Silicon Valley corporations and corporate investors. Finally, a number of local experts will offer workshops and seminars on topics such as visa regulations, crowd funding, and questions like how to operate in the US or how to approach potential customers.

ICT mission to New York and Montreal - June 2014

An economic mission of 15 Brussels-based software companies to New York and Montreal took place June 9-13, 2014. In New York it consisted of the following activities : a tour of Google, a visit of the Cloud Expo, presentations by Holland&Knight and New York Technology Council, B2B meetings, a seminar at Insight Venture Partners and visits of two New York incubators – WeWork and Atelier.

ICT Mission "Connecting Brussels with the Silicon Valley" - November 26-30, 2012

The ICT Mission in November 2012 represented the first Economic Mission organized by Brussels Brussels Invest & Export, together with the cluster Software in Brussels, during which 12 Brussels-based companies spent one week in Silicon Valley attending ICT related company visits, B2B meetings, and seminars.

Belgian Tech Pitch Night - June 6, 2013

The Belgian Tech Pitch Night at SF New Tech gave 9 Belgian companies, among them 3 from Brussels, a platform to pitch and show off their new technologies and latest developments. SF New Tech's mission is to help start-ups get noticed, raise money, and establish valuable industry connections in Silicon Valley and beyond.
